He learned a different programing language, which helped him a lot in his class whenever he take new Computer Science class he would be familiar with the language. By learning more programing language Mr. Islam was one step ahead of his classmates.
Mr. Islam believes that the best way to do well in Computer Science class is to learn to code on your own and do as many internships as possible. I asked if he did any internships? Mr. Islam replied he did not because he was working full-time jobs to support his family. Mr. Islam recommended me to do as many internships as I can because it will help me when looking for an entry-level job. When asked if there is any advice that he can give me which will help me too because of successful computer scientists. Mr. Islam suggested me to learn many programming languages as I can and practice code whenever I have free time, “The more programming languages you learn more opportunities you will find” said Mr. Islam.
Mr. Islam and I shared the same goal alongside our common interest we both started our most significant step toward our dream from the City College Of New York. Mr. Islam was encouraged to become a computer scientist when he moved to the united states and noticed the growth of Artifical intelligence(AI). However, I was inspired by my high school economics teacher. His name is CT Chan, he helped me to realize the fourth industrial revolution will be about AI. As a result, there will be many opportunities for computer scientists. What motivated Mr. Islam to work hard is his parent’s sacrifices that they did for Mr. Islam so he can have bright futures. Just like him, I am also encouraged by my parents which make me work hard to achieve my dream so that one day I can make my parents proud. Throughout the interview, Mr. Islam was determined about his jobs after listing to his story of success it Inspired me even more to become someone who is practicing coding. I do enjoy coding and practice coding every day to create something new even if it’s simple and accomplishes something on my own help me to improve my creativity.
